Christ the King Lutheran Church 2026 Stewardship Appeal

"Valuing Wisdom and Dignity"
($102/week)
Our budget for 2026 reflects a deeper investment in ministry with seniors, an important part of our community. We have increased staff support to strengthen the Wisdom Club, expand visitation of the homebound, and bring new programs to this vital demographic. We have heard the desire for more ministry with seniors, and in response we are expanding opportunities for Bible study, book discussions, and meaningful fellowship.
"Extending Love to our Neighbors"
($355/week)
In response to federal funding cuts, we are setting a bold goal: to double our giving to local ministry partners over the next two years. Interim Executive Director of Urban Ministries, Jessica Holmes says, “Federal funding cuts have had a devastating effect… impacting our ability to serve our clinic, homeless, and food pantry clients.” Our commitment helps to bridge the gap and continue to serve those in need. We also continue to deepen our partnership with Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Garner and increase our giving to the NC Synod, supporting our new bishop and her vision for the church across North Carolina.
"Celebrating that we are Better Together"
($302/week)
We are investing in the sense of community and belonging at CTK. Our expanded budgets will support meals and hospitality, young adults, women’s ministries,
LGBTQ fellowship, and the exciting new PossAbilities ministry, which will create opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to find community and share their gifts. We intend to grow our small groups, book studies, and Bible studies so that all feel welcome, and no one has to be alone.
"Caring for Those who Care for Us"
($725/week)
Finally, we continue our commitment to ministry excellence by making CTK a great place to work. Our 2026 budget includes increased benefit costs, a 3% cost-of- living increase for all staff, and additional compensation for our associate pastors to ensure alignment with synod guidelines. With the joyful arrivals of our new organist and preschool director, God is clearly shaping a bright and hope-filled future for CTK. We are prayerfully searching for our next digital campus pastor, who will help guide our hundreds of online worshippers into deeper steps of discipleship. These steps allow us to care for those who lead and serve, so that they can continue to care for the whole congregation with faith and dedication.
Invitation and Response
We invite you to pray for CTK as God guides us through seasons of growth, challenge, and renewal. As we discern God's vision for the years ahead, we ask God to bless our ministries with wisdom and a sense of community, extend God's love through us to our neighbors, and knit us together as one body in Christ. On December 7, we will announce the current results of our pledges, including the number of commitments received and the faithful response of the congregation.
We are excited about the opportunities to meet the needs of the church and community in the coming year. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, CTK is on the move. Now let's continue to learn, live, and tell the story of God's grace.
