For more than 60 years, CTK has been a welcoming and inclusive faith community in the heart of Cary, NC. God has blessed our work with dedicated staff and volunteers, members committed to sharing their blessings, leaders with creativity and vision, and a campus and digital presence that allows us to initiate new ways of serving and telling the good news of Jesus and His love.
In 2027, we will build on our strategic directions (Praise & Worship; Enact Justice; Advocate for a Shared Future; Connect & Belong; Evolve to Meet a Changing World) and continue to build God’s kingdom of peace. Join us as together we use all of God’s gifts to learn, live, and tell the story of God’s grace.
2026 Stewardship Recap
Thank you all for your participation in and encouragement of God’s continued ministry here at CTK. Leadership has worked diligently to prepare a budget – a working plan – for the new year of 2027. We ask for your prayers for Christ the King and your personal involvement as we prepare for all that God has planned for our congregation in the year to come. Together, we are blessed to be peacemakers. CTK is on the move again!
Invest in Future Leaders
Today, many people need communities that they can feel connected to. To address this epidemic of loneliness and disconnectedness, we are expanding our online ministry and investing in new programming for youth and young adults. Investing in Youth & Family Minister Lilly Duncan allows us to bring new energy and ideas to revitalize our Sunday school program and maintain a strong, vibrant youth ministry.
Funding for arts education has decreased. Investing in a community choral program helps to fill that gap by giving young people a chance to learn the fundamentals of music through singing. Supporting the Carolina Choir School, founded by our Choral Director, Christian Schoen, creates a positive community for young people to develop vocal skills through education and worship performances.
A lack of ordained ministers impacts our ability to share God’s word and give the church a larger presence in our communities. To address this, we have supported and will continue to support people who have answered the call to go to seminary. We continue to invest in seminarians as Tyler Ruddy continues his studies at Duke Divinity, and we celebrate God’s calling of Colin Mudd as he begins seminary.
